North Dakota beekeepers open facility for tours

A North Dakota beekeeper is giving you the chance to see the sweet business up close. The Llerenas family has been setting hives for decades, and now the owners of this Linton honey business want to give others a full experience of the process.

A Touch of Honey is one of 6 new and expanded Agritourism Businesses in North Dakota. You get to see it all from the hive, to getting the honey off the comb, to the products made there.

Llerenas: "Give people the chance to actually see where honey is coming from you don't just go to your supermarket or farmers market and pick up a bottle. It comes from somewhere. Just like going to a dairy farm. there is a big process to getting your milk. Honey is also quite a process to actually get it into the jars and get it to the customers."

Tours are available through September 30th.
