Work continued Tuesday on the demolition of the Old Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks. Workers expect to have the arena structure taken down in three to four weeks and the entire demolition process is expected to be completed by mid to late September. Construction managers say that people shouldn't expect to see dirt flying and loud explosions.
Craig Swenson, University construction manager: "It's going to be pretty boring. It goes rather slowly. They're going to start cutting joists and trusses on the inside and then it will fold in on itself."
Construction on a new indoor practice facility at the sight is set to begin as soon as the Old Ralph demolition is complete.
