The man accused in the death of over one hundred horses in Morton and Burleigh Counties pleads guilty to the crimes. William Kiefer did not appear in court Friday, but his attorney, Charlie Stock entered the pleas for Kiefer. Kiefer is charged with nine counts related to the abuse and neglect of animals on his property. Attorneys discussed a non-binding agreement for Kiefer's sentence of 120 days of electronic monitoring and supervised probation for two years. As for how these crimes occurred, Stock says his client suffers from depression and other mental health issues.
