It's been eleven days since 16-year-old Eugene Lohnes was shot in the back on the Spirit Lake reservation. One man is still in custody, but as of now he's not facing any charges related to the shooting.

The man, 28-year-old Nicholas Jack, was one of five people taken into custody after the shooting. He's being held in Devils Lake on a tribal charge of public intoxication, as well as outstanding warrants. The other four people who were arrested after the shooting were released on Friday. Tribal prosecutor Joe Vetsch says no tribal charges have been filed in connection to the shooting.

The FBI says Jack is not currently facing any federal charges. Eugene Lohnes was released from Altru hospital in Grand Forks last week. A family member refused to comment on his condition. The FBI also says that federal investigations take time, and that we may not see any federal charges in the case for a while.
