A three-day robotics camp for 9-14-year-olds kicked off Tuesday at the University of Crookston. By the end of the camp, teams of students will be designing, building and programming robots Organizers say the camp gives kids a chance to get hands-on experience with technology they often see in movies or on tv.

"They see robots and so it looks like the future to them, so it's interesting from that aspect that they're abe to make something that they see all around them. It gives them a connection to technology," said Mark Gill, a software engineer with the university.

An advanced camp will take place next week and registration is still open. For more information or to register, click here.
