Friends, family and neighbors have gone home for the night, but the search for a missing boy continues just south of East Grand Forks. 11-year-old Anthony Kuznia disappeared Wednesday afternoon shortly after 2:00 pm.

Police are concerned about Anthony because he has autism and they say he may be drawn toward the water. The search is very close to the Red River. Police are searching along Rhinehart drive just south of East Grand Forks. Hundreds of volunteers showed up to help with the search in just a matter of hours. Police told us that Anthony said he was going outside to play in the yard and when his family went outside to check on him, he wasn't there. In addition to the volunteer effort, East Grand Forks police, Polk County authorities, nearby fire departments and border patrol are all assisting in the search.

Police say Anthony likes to explore campers, RVs, and ATVs, so they're looking into all of those as possibilities that he may have wandered off. Authorities are asking people in the area to check any campers, tents or out buildings they may have on their property to look for Anthony. Anthony was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt with black lettering and plaid shorts. He's 5 feet tall, weighs about 94 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to call East Grand Forks Police or Polk County Authorities.
