Union officials say the Canadian Pacific railroad has furloughed approximately 30 workers from its operation in Thief River Falls.

Union officials say the Canadian Pacific railroad has furloughed approximately 30 workers from its operation in Thief River Falls.

The job cuts are among roughly 90 furloughs at CP sites across Minnesota since last October. The union says that in Thief River the furloughs have affected conductors and switchmen. Some engineers have been reassigned to conductor jobs representing a loss of seniority.
