Green Wave Building On Tradition

The East Grand Forks football team is looking for its seniors to lead the way during the 2013 season.

It’s a way of life in East Grand Forks called "The Eastside Way." And the Green Wave players are buying in.

Brock Scheving, East Grand Forks senior running back/linebacker, "Always do everything that we can at full speed and as a team."

Luke Beito, East Grand Forks senior running back/safety, "It's playing hard and a bunch of guys that like to hit."

Oliver, "We come out everyday and we certainly want to outwork our opponent but we want to do things the right way."

The seniors are leading the way, trying to bounce back after a three and six season last fall.

Beito, "We got a good group of seniors and we pride ourselves on senior leadership. We run the locker room, the field, and the bus, and that's how we run things."

Scheving, "We have a lot of up and coming underclassmen and we really need to show the way for them."

And with the seniors goal being the same, the Green Wave might roll into the playoffs.

Beito, "Our goal is to win a section championship and just play hard through every game and take it game by game. We have a final goal but we prepare every week for the game that's ahead of us."
