From Heritage Village to the Grand Forks library, it's a busy day for the Lincolns. The couple made their first stop at the library Friday morning for the Abe and the Babe event. The President and Mrs. Lincoln look-alikes read to children and autographed history books. They also judged posters made by children, including one shaped like a top hat.

The two explained some benefits of portraying a famous couple. Mary Todd Lincoln impersonator, Donna Daniels says, "What we hope to do is reinforce what people can learn from reading a book. Seeing it in person right in front of your eyes sometimes makes it register more."

This event coincides with the Lincoln in North Dakota exhibit, now on display at the Grand Forks library.
