North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple was in Grand Forks Monday taking part in a welcome reception for Northrup Grumman at the UND Center for Innovation. Northrup Grumman is a leader in unmanned aerial systems and is interested in the Big Sky project for the Grand Forks Air Base. The Big Sky project will establish a technology park on the air base that would allow both military and non-military UAS use.

Governor Jack Dalyrymple says, "It would be a tremendous achievement for us in terms of economic development to have one of the worlds leading corporations be right here in Grand Forks developing their systems."

Governor Dalrymple hopes this partnership with Northrup Grumman will establish the Grand Forks region as a test site for Unmanned Aerial systems.
