Manvel Schools Approve Sex Offender Policy

Registered sex offenders will be allowed to attend children's school events in Manvel North Dakota if they have a chaperone

The Manvel school board approved that policy tonight.

This is a stricter sex offender policy than the state's. That the only policy the school had until tonight. Some parents say there's a sex offender who comes to school events.

That's was a big reason the Manvel school board came up with their own policy.

Under the policy, a sex offender will be allowed to come into school property only after the board approves a request from the offender. And that person is escorted on school grounds.
