The Bemidji School District is facing three lawsuits accusing them of failing to take action when cases of sexual abuse were reported. The lawsuits stem from a case involving former Bemidji teacher John Wangberg. Wangber was charged with two counts of felony sexual conduct in January.

Wangberg was charged with abusing three students back in January but took his own life before that case could proceed. Lawyers say Wangberg's death did not end the families pain and they say the school should be held accountable.

Multiple counts of negligence as well as negligent supervision are named in the lawsuit against the school district.
