Grand Forks Police Department is searching for a semi-truck that is alleged to have been involved in a hit-and-run accident at the Grand Forks Water Treatment Plant Thursday afternoon.
According to police, someone reported at 5:45 p.m. Thursday that a semi-truck had driven over a small brick structure that contained the equipment for access control into the secured area of the treatment building, located at 600 S. 3rd St.
The semi-truck then continued driving east and struck a fence on the west side of the property. The actual building was not struck.
A witness who was nearby snapped a photo of the semi-truck, police said.
The semi-truck is described as being blue in color with white lettering on the passenger side. The vehicle should have damage to the front center and front passenger side.
