Last minute registration and Family Fun night for this weekends Rollin' on the River Inline skate Marathon in Grand Forks. Youngsters were able to rest out their wheels on a mini course, athletes participating in Saturday's race were able to relax a bit and rub elbows with fellow racers all to the backdrop of live music and great food. Comeraderie is a big part of inline marathon.

Rollin' On The River Executive Director Laura Jelinek says, "The best part of a skating marathon is just the skating. I love to skate and I'm happy whether I'm skating a race or just skating for fun on the greenway. So it's just the thrill of putting something on your feet and that allows you to go faster than you can go yourself."

The marathon and half marathon races start at 7 am Saturday. There will be an awards ceremony following the races at 11 am.
