Heat prompts closing of Fargo schools

In Fargo the hot weather has prompted officials to close several elementary schools Monday.

In Fargo the hot weather has prompted officials to close several elementary schools Monday.

Clara Barton, Horace Mann, Lewis and Clark, McKinley and Roosevelt schools will remain closed in Fargo through Wednesday. School officials found temperatures in the school buildings yesterday in the 80's and 90's. The buildings are not fully air conditioned. Hot weather is expected to continue for much of the week. School officials are meeting today to decided how to make up the missed class time.
