Hoeven, Heitkamp host crop insurance discussion in Grand Forks

Simplifying Crop insurance was the topic of a roundtable Tuesday morning At the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. Both Senators John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp were on hand to hear concerns.

Simplifying Crop insurance was the topic of a roundtable Tuesday morning At the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. Both Senators John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp were on hand to hear concerns. This year over four million acres of cropland remains unplanted in North Dakota because of the wet spring. Some farmers at Tuesday's meeting say they feared they would not be eligible for crop insurance if they planted too late. All changes presented take effect in November.
