UND Aerospace Scores Big International Training Contract

UND has landed another major international training contract. This time it's to train air traffic controllers from Norway.

UND has landed another major international training contract. This time it's to train air traffic controllers from Norway.

The contract is for 3 years with two one year optional extensions. It will mean 36- students a year will train here from Norway and go back to Norway to work there.

UND did train some students from there before, but not since 2004, This contract guarantees the potential of 200 students.

The partnership was signed with Avionar.

Chuck Pineo/UND Aerospace Foundation Director: "Avinor is the government entity that owns and operates the airports and the facilities for air traffic control in the country of Norway."

UND hopes this will lead to other international contracts for long term deals.
