One man remains in the hospital after the vehicle he was driving collided with a train Aug. 21in Grand Forks.
Kyle Johnson, 28, and his passenger Jonathan Bartle, 22, were taken to Altru Hospital after the mosquito control vehicle they were in was hit by a train on the west side of the city.
Johnson was listed in critical condition upon arriving at the hospital. His status was changed to serious, according to an Altru staff member. Johnson remains at Altru while Bartle, who was listed in serious condition last week, has since been released.
Both men are Grand Forks residents and work for the city’s mosquito control program. They were on duty when the accident happened around 8:30 a.m. at the BNSF railroad crossing on 17th Avenue South.
