Defensive driving course to be held Saturday in Grand Forks

The North Dakota Safety Council is hosting a Defensive Driving Course (DDC-4) in Grand Forks.

The North Dakota Safety Council is hosting a Defensive Driving Course (DDC-4) in Grand Forks.

The ND Department of Transportation reports more than 18,000 motor vehicles crashes each year resulting in more than 5,000 injuries and nearly 150 fatalities. DDC-4 addresses the importance of attitude behind the wheel and offers practical strategies to reduce an attendee's risk of a collision. By completing the course, attendees may be eligible for an insurance discount and point reduction.

The event is being held Saturday, September 7 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Altru Health Systems Building 1. If you'd like to attend, you can register online at www.ndsc.org/defensivedriving or by calling 701-223-6372.
