Tuesday marks the start of school in Minnesota, including East Grand Forks. Some students were nervous to head back to the classroom, but most said they were excited to see friends and learn new subjects.

A new year means getting different teachers and maybe a little more homework, but students we talked to said they were ready to be back in school. Parents and faculty were taking plenty of pictures Tuesday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic School in East Grand Forks. Sacred Heart welcomed back almost 400 students today, and while Principal Dave Andrys says enrollment is steady, they're always looking for more students.

This year, Sacred Heart is putting Spanish back into it's curriculum at the elementary level and several students said they were looking forward to learning the language. Public Schools in East Grand Forks, Climax, Fisher and Crookston also started today.
