French Fry Feed kicked off Thursday

The 48th annual potato bowl game is only two days away. The much anticipated "french fry feed" was Thursday, and it saw a large turnout.

The 48th annual potato bowl game is only two days away. The much anticipated "french fry feed" was Thursday, and it saw a large turnout. Up to 10,000 people attend this event every year. Making it the world's largest french fry feed. The event had everything from french fry eating contests to bouncy houses for the kids. In previous years the french fry feed had even broken world records.

Simplot hoped to serve 5,250 pounds of fries. That's 240 pounds more than world record set in 2011.

People in the greater grand cities got to enjoy a Baked Potato Bar from 11 AM to 1 PM Thursday at all Hugo's locations. You got your choice of ham, chili or taco meat. And in case you forgot, the event continues Friday.
