The search for the body of a Walsh County man missing since April 29th is over. Late Monday afternoon, Dental records confirmed the body of 55-year-old Guy Miller was found in the Forest River Saturday night, about one mile west of Minto.

Hundreds of volunteers and authorities have led search efforts since Miller was taken away by high water while driving near his Minto farm. In the end, his body was discovered by accident by people attending a get-together near the river. Authorities were called in around 9 p.m. Saturday.

The body was taken to the Grand Forks medical examiner's office. Guy Miller's only child, 13-year-old Gavin, says the last time he saw his dad was on Good Friday.

"When me and my mom went up to communion, he took her keys and hid them from her and she couldn't find them because she didn't know who took them," said Gavin. "He put them in my pocket when I wasn't looking. I really miss him."

About 500 people attended a memorial service for Miller last week, just three days before his body was found. A funeral service will be Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Church in Minto.
