Several family members and medical examiners testified in court Monday in the murder trial for Valentino Bagola. He's accused of killing his cousin's 6-year-old son Travis DuBois Junior and 9-year-old daughter Destiny Shaw-Dubois on the Spirit Lake reservation two years ago.

Mena Shaw, the mother of the two victims, took the stand. She described finding her childrens' bodies, and that she first suspected their father, Travis DuBois of killing the children.

Travis had been the prosecution's main suspect until Bagola's DNA was found under Destiny's fingernails. Pathologists also testified, saying that Travis Junior had been stabbed more than 70 times and Destiny more than 40.
