Twelve years later, the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 continue to influence the lives of many people. On Wednesday, outside the UND Memorial Union, silent cadets will stand for an hour each, remembering the tragic events of 9/11.

The cadets will take their posts at 7:46 AM, the moment five hijackers crashed American Airlines Flight 11 into the World Trade Center's North Tower. They will switch shifts each hour until 11:46 AM. Sept. 11 is deemed by Congress a "National Day of Service and Remembrance".
