Governors order flags lowered on Sept. 11

Govs. Jack Dalrymple of North Dakota and Mark Dayton of Minnesota ordered flags to be flown at half-staff at state and federal buildings on Sept. 11 to observe the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The governors also encouraged individuals and businesses to fly their flags at half staff as well as participate in community service during the day and observe a moment of silence at 7:46 a.m., the time of the first attack on the World Trade Center in New York in 2001.
