WOODBURY, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey teenager has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for the slaying of a girl who went missing on her bike nearly 11 months ago.
Sixteen-year-old Justin Robinson was sentenced Thursday. He pleaded guilty in August to aggravated manslaughter, saying he was solely responsible for killing the girl.
He and his older brother Dante were initially charged with murder after the body of 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale was found stuffed into a recycling bin near the brothers' home in Clayton, a small town 25 miles south of Philadelphia.
Pasquale's disappearance last October set off a massive search of Clayton and the surrounding area.
Dante Robinson, who was 17 at the time of the arrest, still faces murder charges in juvenile court.
