The show will go on in Valley City after last year's tragic loss to veteran pilot

Despite all of the high-flying action, there will be many heavy hearts among airshow-goers in Valley City Saturday. Last September, veteran pilot Bob Odegaard died tragically after the plane he was piloting crashed while practicing for the Valley City Air Show.

Now, a year later, the air show continues on, but air show manager Mike Lerud says Odegard's legacy will carry on forever. Lerud says next year the Air Show plans on having a memorial in Bob Odegaard's honor. You can catch Saturday's air show in Valley City for free! The show begins at 6 pm.
