Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The tradition of "senior high pranks" at Shanley continues. Today, a mini cooper greeted students as part of a prank on longtime American government class teacher, Randall Rustad.

Overnight, students turned his class room into a drive-in theatre. Complete with artificial grass, miniature cars, night-time lighting, the movie, "The Sound of Music" and a snack bar with Tab.

Rustad had earlier told the students he is not a fan of the movie because it is on television too much, and he is consumer of the diet soda drink: Tab.

Rustad: “We've had some good ones over the years. This one is more of a theme. It touches me. I grew up going to the outdoor movies. It was considered the best date night you could have. You'd have dusk to dawn, buck night, as many people you could shove into a car for a dollar. When you walked in on this this morning, actually, it was touching. It took me back.”

The students also pranked Rustad by setting out school desks in the outfield of Jack Williams Stadium. Rustad is a longtime coach with the Legion program.
