The Grand Forks City Council will vote Monday night on allocating funds for lower income neighborhoods. A committee was established within the council to help decide where federal dollars should be divied up.

Playgrounds, homelesness, housing and healthcare are some of the main areas of focus for funding. The program that provides the funding specifically requires the majority of the money is applied to housing.

"This year we've tried to create a more rational process based on needs, a set of pre-set priorities so that funders would know and help guide the committees decisions," said councilman Bret Weber.

We'll have results of the vote tonight on news at ten.
