The University of North Dakota medical school is getting 10 and a half million dollars to develop new strategies to prevent diseases.

The University of North Dakota medical school is getting 10 and a half million dollars to develop new strategies to prevent diseases. The grant from the National Institutes of Health will be distributed over the next five years. The medical school will use its grant money to support work at a bio-medical research center on diseases including cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

The school plans to use the funds to look for both new treatment and prevention options.
