Victim of Friday morning rollover dies from injuries sustained

On September 20 at around 7:00 am the Polk County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover on County Road 64 in rural Grand Forks Township. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, 23-year-old Stephenie Johnson of East Grand Forks, was ejected from the vehicle.

On September 20 at around 7:00 am the Polk County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover on County Road 64 in rural Grand Forks Township. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, 23-year-old Stephenie Johnson of East Grand Forks, was ejected from the vehicle.

Johnson was transported to Altu in Grand Forks and listed in critical condition. Johnson later died as a result of the injuries she sustained.

Polk County was assisted by East Grand Forks Police and fire departments, the Minnesota State Patrol and Altru Ambulance. The investigation is ongoing. Johnson was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School.
