By assisting servers and talking with those dining -- officers and athletes collect donations for Special Olympics North Dakota. The organization provides year-round programs of sports training and athletic competition for 1,400 children and adults with disabilities in the state.

Tuesday the Grand Forks Sheriff's Office collected tips, but if you missed out, Wednesday night the Grand Forks Police Department will be helping out.

"Tip-a-Cop" starts at 5 and goes until 9 Wednesday night. Last year, officers raised more than $14,000 dollars statewide.
