The Devils Lake school board has approved a design for a new performing arts center to be added to Devils Lake High School. The board approved a plan on Monday to build an arts center which would connect the high school with a career and tech center next door. Now the school will look into ways to pay for the project.

School board president Steve Halldorson says the project is expected to cost around $7 million. He says the school will look for private donations. He says it could be 5 years before the center is built.
