Two Grand Forks schools will soon be getting new windows. The Grand Forks school board accepted bids tonight for window replacements at Schroeder Middle School and Central High School. Each project will cost more than $400,000. They will be paid for with Stimulus Money. The board chose to go with aluminum windows over wood.
Bill Hutchison/Business Manager: "One of the other things besides trying to spend the money quickly is energy efficiency. So energy efficiency and low maintenance. And again, it matches the windows that we had replaced there in the past."
Part of Central High School's roof will also be redone. The projects are expected to be finished before school starts next fall.
