Crookston police chief retires after 25 years with the department

Crookston Police Chief Tim Motherway was the guest of honor at a public reception at city hall. Motherway is retiring after 25 years with the department--12 of those as Chief.

Crookston Police Chief Tim Motherway was the guest of honor at a public reception at city hall. Motherway is retiring after 25 years with the department--12 of those as Chief. His retirement takes effect Tuesday, October 1st. Paul Biermaier will take over as the new Chief

Tim Motherway says, "In my opinion, the Crookston Police Department is the best it's ever been right now as far as personnel go. Knowing that I've had a hand in hiring just about the whole department is something I'm very proud of."

Motherway plans to take a few months off before starting his new job with the National Child Safety Council in January.
