The University of North Dakota and the city of Grand Forks are about to get some international attention. A crew is filming some of Japans biggest television stars all around the city. The Japanese film company Fujifilm have been in Grand Forks filming a twelve episode television drama at various locations throughout the community. The series focuses on two Japanese students who attend aviation school in Japan and UND.

The television show is the result of a partnership between UND and Tokai University in Japan, as well as All Nippon Airways. The show features some of Japans biggest television stars and should put an international spotlight on Grand Forks and UND.

Chief Operating Officer Chuck Pineo says, "Over 20 million people in Japan are watching this television series and hopefully they'll see a little piece of Grand Forks and be intrigued. Maybe some of those people will want to be pilots or see the engineering college or one of the other areas of campus and will want to go to school here."

Filming for the show will wrap up in the next few weeks.
