Berg Campaign Manager Resigns
Republican U.S. House candidate Rick Berg says his campaign manager has quit.By: Associated Press, WDAZ
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Republican U.S. House candidate Rick Berg
says his campaign manager has quit.
Berg says Paul Sorenson on Monday admitted to using parts of an
e-mail list he got when he served as the party's executive
director.
The list is meant for endorsed Republican candidates. Berg and
three other men are competing for the party's endorsement to run
for the House this fall.
GOP state Chairman Gary Emineth has said Berg improperly used
the e-mail list to drum up support.
Sorenson told The Associated Press he "was not completely
upfront with Berg" about the e-mail list.
Berg and Kevin Cramer are the top competitors for the GOP
endorsement. Cramer says Sorenson did the right thing by quitting.
