EGF Campground Preparing For Flood Waters

Flood fighters are trying to reduce significant damage to the East Grand Forks camp-ground.

It took on a lot of water last year.

They've already removed all the water heaters from the buildings, electrical boxes and anything not attached to the ground.

Officials in East Grand Forks say they know the camp-ground is going to take on water again.

But they're trying to do everything they can to cut down on damage costs besides debris cleanup.

Officials say this year is different because the river rose fast and they had little warning.

Scott Huizenga/EGF City Administrator:"Really the worse case scenario, the only thing we have to worry about the levels that will get in some of the bath houses. So its really a clean up issue than a damage issue"

Huizenga says he doesn't expect water in the park to delay the opening for the summer season.
