Melandie Deplazes with "Safe Alternatives for Abused Families" says her agency has already dealt with more abuse cases this year than in all of 2012.

Safe Alternatives helps with victims of abuse, but Deplazes says too many people don't know there is a place for them to turn in Devils Lake. About 200 people signed up for the walk. It was followed by a dinner and presentation on helping to end domestic violence.
