Tuesday marks Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day -- as declared by North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple. The day is for everyone to provide support for families and spend some time honoring infants who have lost their lives to prematurity, sudden infant death syndrome, birth defects and accidents. People across the state are encouraged to light a candle to remember those babies that have passed on Tuesday.

"What's buried alive, stays alive. And those feelings of grief stay alive and they can turn into anger that can turn into a lot of things that aren't healthy," Infant Bereavement Coordinator, Toni Betting said.
