CROSBY, N.D. (AP) — A Minnesota man faces charges including attempted murder after a weekend stabbing in the western North Dakota oil patch.

Christopher Baumgartner, of Olivia, Minn., is charged with attempted murder, terrorizing, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault. His bond is set at $250,000. Court documents do not list an attorney for him.

KXMC-TV reports that two other men face lesser charges in the stabbing near Crosby.

Baumgartner is accused of stabbing Christian Boen with a machete that had a blade nearly a foot long. Boen received more than a dozen stitches and has been released from a hospital.

Investigators allege that Baumgartner and Boen had an argument about a truck being either borrowed or stolen.
