A 19-year-old Red Lake Falls man faces four felony charges for an alleged drive-by shooting.
Casey Louis Sauve is charged with felony criminal damage to property, reckless discharge of a firearm in a school zone, drive-by shooting and reckless discharge of a firearm in a municipality, plus one misdemeanor charge of possession of stolen property.
He's accused, along with two juvenile males, of using pellet-type firearms to shoot and damage windows at Lafayette High School and several vehicles. The damage is widespread among three communities.
"In the city of Thief River Falls I believe we had about 23 windows shot out by pellet guns, in St. Hillaire just south we had about 10 and in Red Lake Falls we had a number of vehicles and businesses windows shot out," said Thief River Falls Police Chief Craig Mattson.
The damage amounts to approximately 16-thousand dollars.
