A Grand Forks man was injured in a motorcycle accident near Harwood, N.D., Thursday, according to the state Highway Patrol.
Ryan Currier, 41, was transported to the Sanford Hospital in Fargo following the accident, which occurred at about 10:55 p.m., the Patrol said.
According to a news release, Currier was traveling north on Interstate 29 on his 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle when taking the Harwood exit. He was behind another motorcycle, a 2008 Harley Davidson, which slowed down and was rear-ended by Currier.
Currier hit an exit sign and was thrown from the bike, coming to a rest in the ditch.
The driver of the other vehicle, identified as Kevin Boyer, 61, of Grand Forks, was able to maintain control of his motorcycle and come to a safe stop.
Currier’s injuries were non-life threatening, according to the report, while Boyer was uninjured. The crash remains under investigation.
Neither driver was wearing a helmet.
