Elementary students at Sacred Heart spent their morning performing science experiments thanks to some helpers from the University of North Dakota.

Every semester in different schools throughout the Red River Valley, UND student teachers set up science booths to get hands-on experience teaching kids. Groups of 2 or 3 children go to each booth for 10 minutes. The kids learned about the earth's orbit using fans and phases of the moon using oreos.

"I learned how far animals can jump, and, um, we all have different finger prints," said student Emma Tolan.

More than 40 kids participated in the various experiments.
