Minnesota lawmakers stop in Crookston and TRF to hear request for state bonding money

Minnesota Senate lawmakers make stops in Crookston and Thief River Falls Tuesday as they continue hearing requests for state bonding money for public works projects. The University of Minnesota Crookston was one of the stops. The school is seeking funds for the construction of a 15-million dollar Wellness Center on campus.

Minnesota Senate lawmakers make stops in Crookston and Thief River Falls Tuesday as they continue hearing requests for state bonding money for public works projects. The University of Minnesota Crookston was one of the stops. The school is seeking funds for the construction of a 15-million dollar Wellness Center on campus. The facility would provide a much improved facility those not participating in the school's athletics.

The project has been listed as number 3 on the U of M Board of Regents' list of the five highest-priority projects being asked of the legislature for funding. In Thief River Falls - - Northland Community and Technical College wants more than 6-million dollars to replace sheet-metal hangars with one brick building for its aviation programs.
