Super One Foods holds "Dash For Cash" event to help stock local food banks

The holidays are coming up and Super One grocery store shoppers in Grand Forks are doing their part to help stock local food banks. Through a promotional event called Dash For Cash. A donation bin was set up for customers to donate their winnings to local food shelves.

The holidays are coming up and Super One grocery store shoppers in Grand Forks are doing their part to help stock local food banks. Through a promotional event called Dash For Cash. A donation bin was set up for customers to donate their winnings to local food shelves.

Customers raised more $6,6006. Friday, a check for more than $3,000 was presented to both the Salvation Army and St. Joseph's Social Care.

"You hear from the salvation army and other food shelves in the area that they need help and going into the holidays right now it's probably their highest demand times throughout the year for food," Grand Forks Super One Foods Manager, Andy Bakker said.
