One man is charged Tuesday with the murder of a Grand Forks man killed during a break-in burglary around 1 am Sunday morning. Three other people are charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, including the victim's ex-girlfriend.
Jennifer Blue, the victim's ex-girlfriend, showed little emotion Tuesday when she appeared in court via video conference from the Grand Forks County Correctional Center. Blue allegedly sent a group of men to retrieve two cars from the Cisneros home when 33-year-old Ruben Cisneros Jr. was burglarized and murdered. Blue claims the cars were hers. Ruben's brother Joel says he told police the cars belong to Ruben.
Joel: "I told them I got the titles here for both of the cars that they want to see. I told them I have them at hand."
Jennifer Blue also faces felony charges for allegedly using false identities to get morhpine and other drugs from Altru. Blue and three others are charged with consiparcy to commit burglary. 21-year-old Joe Saucedo is charged with the murder. Carmell Mattison, Assistant State's Attorney for Grand Forks, says Saucedo took a knife from his pocket and stabbed Cisneros several times.
"From what I saw, I felt like there were four people involved. From what I was told they had four people including his ex-girlfriend. I just felt like there was more people. At least like five or six," said Joel.
Mattison said a 16-year-old girl accompanied the four people she is charging. Even though neighbors gave food to the family today to show their condolences, Joel says the charges do not take his pain away.
Joel "I'm pretty relieved a little bit but, I'm still hurt. My brother can't come back you know? But other than that I'm pretty relieved they actually got people charged."
Blue is being held on 100,000 dollars bond and drug tests twice a week. The three men were arrested Sunday in Polk County and remain in the regional jail in Crookston.
