Karen Nyberg is back on earth after spending nearly six months aboard the International Space Station. The UND graduate and Vining, Minnesota native spoke with WDAZ Wednesday about her trip in space.

Nyberg says its great to be back -- and there aren't any plans to return to the space station any time soon. But she is hopeful to return to UND sometime next year.

A NASA mission specialist and flight engineer, Nyberg was a part of Expedition 37. She studied how the earth has changed, and she was part of investigations that will allow for further space exploration. Nyberg posted regularly on social media sites like Pinterest -- and YouTube. She also gave a speech from space for UND's summer commencement.
