Three people are homeless Monday evening after a fire Sunday night in Fosston, Minnesota.

The smoke caused highway 2 to be shut down and detoured for several hours. The fire started at the Fosston Chiropractic Office adjacent to two apartment buildings. The upper levels of the building are a total loss. The main floor received major smoke and water damage. Monday, fire crews and the minnesota state fire marshall's office investigated the scene. The fire was found to be accidental.

It's a disaster that has the tenants of the buildings businesses and apartments, moving on...receiving the support of their community.

"Oh that's what Fosston has always been about. If anybody is in need everybody in the community is always there to help and lend support as best they can," said apartment resident Jason Steinbrenner.

Those affected by the fire will also be receiving help from the Red Cross.

The disaster relief agency plans on working in Fosston throughout the next few days.
