East Grand Forks city crews began dismantling the "invisible" flood wall along the downtown boardwalk on Tuesday morning.
It should take crews two days to complete. As the river levels continue to go down, the city will start to remove other closures including DeMers Avenue.
Officials from MnDOT, NDDOT, and Grand Forks/ East Grand Forks are doing final testing and maintenance of the Sorlie Bridge and DeMers Avenue.
Officials think the Sorlie could reopen by the weekend if current river projections hold.
